Our cat scratchers are made from paper-based materials and contain no substances harmful to cats. They're completely safe for everyday use.
While it's technically possible, we don't recommend it. The extension parts are not included and aren't covered under our product support.
Try sprinkling some catnip on the scratcher, rewarding your cat with treats for using it, or placing it in a spot your cat already likes to hang out. You can also place a familiar toy nearby to draw their attention
Make sure to follow the assembly instructions carefully. Wobbling is usually caused by misaligned or cross-threaded screws — double-check that all screws are properly tightened and seated.
Those are ventilation holes from the spray-coating process during manufacturing. They're completely normal, won't affect performance, and are not a product defect.
When assembling, make sure the soft side of the base faces down. Installing it upside down can make the scratcher unstable.
